Research Fields

  • My research area covers subjects in European and Greek literature and literary theory. My studies on visual and concrete poetry mainly focus on Carmina Figurata in the Greek language, with emphasis on the comparison of Greek and European literature. Studies of literary theory are equally indispensable, such as studies of the main works of rhetoric and poetics.
  • There is a special focus on the position and meaning of visual poetry and poetic games in Greek metrical compendia. An integral question is the function of poetic games in the respective periods. Furthermore, I concentrate on the reception of visual poetry in public opinion, but also the reception of European and moreover the oriental prototypes as part of the development in Greek forms of poetic games.
